Private Exam Candidates
We are a private examination centre that can offer Functional Skills, GCSEs, IGCSEs and AS and A level examinations. We currently offer exams from AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge International, and WJEC. We accept a limited number of private candidates. Please click to find a list of our examination fees.

These should be provided by your tutor, distance learning provider or via the exam board websites. Please check any options carefully. We cannot be held responsible for mistakes made on the registration form.

Please contact us on 01202 122922 or on exams@crlt.org.uk to request an ID form. This needs to be completed and returned to us, along with a passport sized photograph, before your first exam.

A UCI (Unique Candidate Identifier) is a 12-digit number, followed by a letter. If you have previously taken an exam your UCI number will be shown on your Statement of Entry from the exam board and also on any results slips or certificates. If you have never taken an exam before then a UCI can be generated for you at our centre.

A ULN (Unique Learner Number) is a 10-digit number and can be found on your Statement of Entry from the exam board and also on any results slips or certificates. ULNs are NOT compulsory for private exam candidates.

We will notify you of the date that your results will be released. You can either come into the exam centre to collect your results in person, or request that they are posted to you.

We share a building with the Christchurch Christian Centre housed in a large church, in the heart of Christchurch town centre, near to Saxon Square. We hold the exams in the Sanctuary Hall. Occasionally we may hold some smaller exams in the Christchurch library.

We do not have our own car park but there is a small multi storey car park adjacent to us – the Saxon Square car park. There are several other public car parks in Christchurch town centre.

The maximum number of candidates in any exam is 45.

Unfortunately we do not have enough space to offer private exam rooms.

The only access arrangement we can offer is extra time. We cannot provide Home Invigilation. The deadline for applications for access arrangements is the 31st of January.

Morning exams start at 09:30 but we advise candidates to arrive by 09:15 for registration.
Afternoon exams start at 13:30 but we advise candidates to arrive by 13:15 for registration.
